- Buy in Bulk: Hamburger is cheaper when you purchase 3 pounds or more. Macaroni and Cheese is also cheaper when you buy it in packs of 12.
- Discount Grocery Stores: We love ALDI, they are much cheaper because they do not spend money on advertising.
- Buy your meat from a farm/butcher: I have a friend who will sell a 1/4 of a cow (that is 175 lbs) for $638.75. You will need a deep freezer for this, but you can eat like a king....CHEAP! Sure the price per pound of $3.65 is a little high on say hamburger, but it is a steal on everything else. (Think porterhouse, filet, sirloin steaks, roasts, stewbeef, etc.)
- Crockpot cooking!: We find that not only is cooking in a crockpot easier, it also is cheaper. There are many great crockpot recipes out there.
